This is THE app I use whenever I plan my Caltrain commute

I wish it was easier to navigate the schedule with less amount of tapping around

Wish theyd make the Advisories more prominent and tie it into the schedule your looking at

I dont know how I would live in the Bay Area without this app.

Its a good app for getting the times for the train, but the schedule does not say if it running late. It would be more helpful is the timetable was able to show in real time if a train is going to be late. As of now it does not reflect that.

This is arguably the most used app on my iPhone. I suppose that makes me just a bit boring. Still, Im extremely grateful for a transit app that is both consistently accurate and intuitive to use. I think other transit app developers and designers could take a page or two from CalTrains play book.

Paid for the upgraded commuter package and cant add a bookmark for my trips. Also dont get notifications, although they are turned on. Works fine enough if I open the app, but I would never know if there was a delay with the trains and it was not worth the $3.99 I paid.

The dark red text on dark gray background is a challenge to read, but the app provides all the information you need to find the next train going your way

It seems the first thing an iOS Engineer does when commuting in the SF Bay Area is to build a Caltrain app. Its a right of passage. Engineers are natural optimizer, and using their professional skills to improve their own lives is expected. That being said, there are loads of Caltrain apps, of varying quality. For my use, this one is the best. Its free tier is immediately useful because it is accurate, simple, and kept up to date. Thanks to the authors!

If you take Caltrain, you should give this app a try.

I just love great apps... this is just one that I dont really focus on. It probably could be better in many ways. However I simply love using it daily for what it does. I have not even looked for anything else because this information is complete for the need. Dont rest on your success CaltrainMe... keep going.

Caltrains own website is more useful for delays than this app, which is sad. Right now, it shows a train departed that will arrive in 20 minutes. Why bother with the app?

Well, it finally happened. I missed the train because the timetable I was viewing was for the wrong direction. I have caught the app numerous times showing me the wrong one, but this time I missed it. The only visual difference in the two schedules is the "NB" vs "SB" in the header. One measly character. How about using a different color? How about your location services use my current location and favorite destinations to show the appropriate direction? How about you show *both* directions at once and Ill get accustomed to its location on the screen? Something.

Stop whining, the app is great. Now, with the widget on the lock screen, more so than ever!
